NWA Biopic To Hit Cinemas 2015

 Universal announced that Straight Outta Compton, a biopic about gangsta rap pioneers NWA, will finally get a release date after years in development. Since the announcement there has been a lot of speculation and questions about what NWA fans and moviegoers can expect, with a main focus on who is set to play the group member roles. It was initially reported that Eric Wright Jr, the son of NWA rapper Eazy-E was unhappy not to have been cast in his fathers role, as the task has since been handed over to up coming actor Jason Mitchell The roles of Dr Dre and Cube have also been filled since director F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set It Off, The Italian Job) held an open casting call for the film back in April.  Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr, is slated to play the role of his dad, with Corey Hawkins, who had a bit part in Iron Man 3, playing rapper/producer Dr Dre. The roles of MC Ren and DJ Yella are yet to be cast.
